Clonia Ann Freeman Hoffpauir, 87, of Lake Charles died Saturday, April 05, 2014 in a local hospital. Clonia was born on October 9, 1926 in Shamrock, LA to William and Maude Freeman. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was famous for her homemade cinnamon rolls. Her great love was reading her Bible. Also, she will be remembered as being a beloved pastor's wife and a great prayer warrior. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Larry Jimmie Hoffpauir; four children, David L. Hoffpauir and wife Phyllis, Sharon Hoffpauir, Regina Zevely and husband Clay, and Jan Hoffpauir; two sons-in-law, Brent Duroy and Dave Read; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Maude Freeman; two brothers, Cecil Freeman and one infant brother; two sisters, Gracie Freeman and Celia Diehl; and two daughters, Karen Read and Esther Duroy. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at First Church of the Nazarene of Lake Charles. Visitation will be at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 7, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at the church on Tuesday at 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. Rev. Richard Beckham and Rev. Sherrill Stiles will officiate services.
