Clyde Joseph Duhon, 57, of Lake Charles lost his battle with leukemia at 8:20 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2014 in a Houston hospital. Mr. Duhon was born on December 22, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA where he resided his entire life. He worked at Wal-Mart on Nelson Rd. for the last 13 years, first in produce, then he became the department manager in hardware and paint, and ultimately he became the support manager for the tire and lube department. Mr. Duhon was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He will be remembered for being loving and considerate and always making others laugh. Mr. Duhon enjoyed riding his Harley and also vacationing in Tennessee with his wife frequently. Mr. Duhon also enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out with his daughter Ashley, and playing with his grand pets. Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy Glasco Duhon; a daughter, Ashley Duhon and boyfriend Garrett Puckett; his mother, Gertie Duhon; a brother, Rudel Duhon and wife Veronica; his Godson and nephew, Josh Duhon; and a nephew, Evan Glasco all of Lake Charles; and five grand pets. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Paul Duhon. The family wishes to thank all of the staff of M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. During our 5 month stay there, we met many people to remember who were very special. Thanks particularly to the staff of the 17th floor for helping us through Clyde's last days and for the support. Also, thank you to all of those who visited, sent cards, and for the prayers sent our way. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 15, 2014 in Christ the King Catholic Church. Fr. Tony Fontenot and Fr. Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 10:30 AM. Pallbearers will be: Joe Tartaglia, Nathan Viator, Earl Kelley, Presley Viator, John East, and Mark McComb.
