Clyde Stoker

January 25, 1917 — January 11, 2013

Clyde Henry Stoker, 95, of Lake Charles died at 7:40 PM Friday, January 11, 2013 in a local care facility.


Mr. Stoker was born in Port Arthur, Texas and has lived in Lake Charles most of his life. He was a 1938 graduate of Lake Charles High School. Mr. Stoker worked for Southern Pacific as a Switchman for over 47 years before retiring. He loved spending time with family and friends.


He is preceded in death by one son Blair Stoker, his first wife Verde Belaire Stoker, two brothers, Burt and Bob Stoker.


Mr. Stoker is survived by his wife of 19 years Frances Pelican Stoker of Lake Charles, LA, two daughters, Mary Gayle and her husband Joseph of Horseshoe Bay, TX and Julie Landry and husband Dennis of Lake Charles, LA, two sons, Tommy Nelson Stoker and wife Patty of Franklin, NC, and John Mark Stoker of Houston, TX., two stepsons, Ronald Corbello and wife Donna, Sherman Corbello and wife Brenda all of Lake Charles, LA, one stepdaughter, Bernita LeBert and husband Mike of DeRidder, LA, eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two loving dogs, Paco and Jake.


His funeral will be held on Monday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Robin Norris will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday at the funeral home at 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
