Connie Courville LeMaire-McConathy, 68, of Lake Charles died at 8:15 PM on Friday, October 10, 2014 in a local hospital. Connie was born on September 30, 1946 in Lake Charles where she lived all of her life and was a graduate of LaGrange High School. She was a "big sister" to all of her cousins and a daughter to all of her aunts. She loved and cared for all of her family and friends and enjoyed playing cards and cooking for them. She was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Her faith was the most important part of her life and her love for her Lord directed all of her actions. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Joe Paul McConathy of Lake Charles; a daughter, Kristy LeMaire Nowinski and husband Dennis of The Woodlands, TX; a son, Duane McConathy and wife Bobbie Sue of League City, TX; a sister, Terry Courville Sittig and husband David of Sulphur; a brother, Bobby Courville and wife Kathy of Sulphur; seven grandchildren, Dylan Moresi, Brant Moresi, Heather Moresi Pollitt, Ethan Piazza, Billy Joe McConathy, Thomas McConathy, and Miranda McConathy; one grandson on the way, William Phoenix Nowinski; and two great grandchildren, Jonathan Wayne McConathy and Revin Daniel Piazza. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Celeste and Peter Courville; her first spouse, Willie "PeeWee" LeMaire; two daughters, Ann Piazza and Mary Piazza Moresi; and a nephew, Cullen Courville. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. The Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:30 PM.
