Connie Harris Davis

Connie Harris Davis, 62, of Greenwood, LA, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Davis was born October 13, 1952 in Lake Charles, La, where she lived most of her life until moving to the Shreveport area ten years ago. She was a 1971 graduate of LaGrange High School and retired from Christus St. Patrick Hospital, where she worked as a transcriptionist. She was a gifted piano, organ, and accordion player and shared her talents at various churches. She also loved gospel singing and was a member of the Harris Trio. She enjoyed telling everyone that she loved them and truly meant it with all her heart. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Bob Davis of Greenwood, LA; step-daughter, Kelli Davis; step-son, Chris Davis and wife Karen; four grandchildren; sister, Pat Kersch and husband Tom of Lake Charles; brother, Dwight Harris of West Monroe, LA; nieces, Allyson Johnson and Kaycee Kersch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Rose Harris. Her memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Dr. W. H. Yarbrough will officiate. A gathering of family members and friends will be held on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the start of the service.
