Connie Thompson Roche, 77, of Lake Charles passed away at her residence on January 3, 2021

Connie is a native of Franklin, and a long-time resident of Lake Charles. A graduate of LaGrange High School, she attended McNeese State University and worked at Calcasieu Marine National Bank, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office before working for 40 years as a legal secretary for her husband, Alvis Roche. Most importantly, she was a wife, mother and grandmother.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 55 years, Alvis J. Roche; daughters, Susan Henning and husband William “Dub”; Vicki Hawsey and husband Lyle and Diane Roche; three grandchildren, Madeline “Maddie” Henning, Brennan Cade Hawsey and Rachel Hawsey and sister, Anita Duke.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at University Baptist Church on Saturday January 9, 2021 with a funeral service being at 3:00 PM at the church with Dr. John Robert Black officiating. Entombment will follow at Consolata Cemetery, all under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID pandemic, the family requests that all visitors wear a mask and maintain social distancing guidelines.

The family requests memorial donations to made in her memory to the American Red Cross, 3512 Kirkman St., Lake Charles, LA 70601.
