Constance Reynolds Lewis

Constance Marie Reynolds Lewis, 77, of Lake Charles died Friday, May 20, 2011 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Lewis was a life long resident of Lake Charles, LA. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School where she was a member of the marching band. She attended McNeese State University and attained her Master's degree in English from Louisiana State University. Mrs. Lewis worked over twenty years as an educator in Calcasieu Parish. Following her retirement, she remained an ardent mentor to her fellow teachers, former students and friends, as she leaves a legacy of wisdom and exceptional knowledge.

For "fun", she enjoyed playing the piano, listening to music, spending time with her flower and vegetable gardens and especially loved her pets and animals.

She will be most remembered for her sense of humor, her keen insight and her deep affection for life and nature.

Mrs. Lewis' passion was her family and dear friends, as they were an instrumental part of her daily life. Her loss will be deeply felt in the hearts of so many.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Tiffany Lewis Fontenot and husband Charlie and granddaughter, Cassidy Smith of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Marjorie Coleman Reynolds.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Father Peter. J.A. Cook will officiate. Arrangements for services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
