Cornelia Louise Fontenot

June 23, 1962 — February 8, 2023

Connie L. Fontenot, 60 years old, was born June 23, 1962 to Regina and Edward Bonvillain in Ragley, LA.

At 7:58 a.m. on February 8, 2023 Connie took her first step into heaven.

Connie loved life, she loved people and knew how to love people well. She had a gift for giving people a safe place to shine and be real. She loved her family, spending quality time with her kids and grand babies, time spent on vacation, weekend getaways, Mother-Daughter trips, back-porch conversations and Big Lake sunsets. No matter where she was, she showed Love, Compassion, and deeply cared for the person or persons she was with.

Life was better on a back-porch, beach, lake, pool, with family and friends gathering. Connie was full of life and when people were around her they became alive.

Connie was a Teacher and she loved teaching kids. Not only were so many lives touched by Connie’s ability to teach youth here at home, she also loved going on mission trips and being able to love on and teach the children of Benin. It did not stop there though, Connie had a gift to be able to teach you about Life, Love, Marriage, and God without you even knowing.

Connie cherished her mornings with God, spending time in prayer, doing devotions and journaling. She was amazing.

Connie will be missed by so many friends and family.
