Cornelia "Nely" Lazo

Cornelia "Nely" Calma Lazo, 64, of Lake Charles died at 7:31 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Lazo was born on August 10, 1950 in the Philippines and moved to Lake Charles in 1995. She was an employee dining room attendant at L'Auberge Casino. Mrs. Lazo enjoyed cooking and cleaning. The selflessness and generosity she showed to her friends, family, and loved ones in the Philippines will never be forgotten. Those left to cherish her memory are four children and their spouses, Rodolfo Lazo of Lake Charles, Kathleen Guillory and Dwayne of Las Vegas, Randolph Lazo and Nikki of Lake Charles, and Leilani Lazo of Arizona; five grandchildren, Richie, Dillon, Caitlin, Blake Lazo, and Elijah Guillory. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Friday from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Saturday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
