Curley D. Phall, 86, of Lake Charles, LA died at 8:30 AM Wednesday, September 08, 2010 in Houston Hospice Center after a brief illness.
Mr. Phall was born in Evangeline, LA and has lived in Lake Charles since 1945. Curley was owner and operator of Family Auto for 33 years. He worked as an auto mechanic for 45 years. He also served in the United States Air Force. He was a Charter member of the VFW Post #2130 where he served as Commander and Honor Guard.
He was also a member of the American Legion Post #1. He was a member of the Cajun French Music Association. He loved fishing, gardening, dancing and playing cards with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Lou Fontenot Phall, three daughters Julia Billedeaux and husband Roger and Kathy Shamburger all of Lake Charles and Becky Phall of Melbourne, FL, one half sister Vertie Robbins of Conroe Texas, two stepdaughters; Sandy Ardoin and husband Ronald, Mona Ross, one step son John Quinalty, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Mr. Phall is preceded in death by his first wife Serina Duhon Phall of 60 years and daughter Melinda Phall Langley.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 am @ St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father Bill Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin on Friday at @ 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary to be held at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue at 8:00 am on Saturday until 10:00 am in the funeral home.
