Curtis Edward Armer, 78 of Sulphur passed away on November 13, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mel Estes officiating. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 3-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume on Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Curtis was a native of Arkansas and a long-time Sulphur resident. He served his country in the U S Army. After the military, he worked for South Central Bell Telephone Company. Curtis was a life-long member of Local 106 Pipefitters Union in Lake Charles and a self-employed co-owner of Colormate in Sulphur. Curtis is survived by his wife of 57 years Genevieve Armer of Sulphur; son, Kenneth Armer of La Porte, TX; two daughters, Lavette Coleman and Pam Armer both of Sulphur; nephew, Tony Domingue of Sulphur; brother, Harold Armer and wife, Judy of Sulphur; sister, Janet Quarles and husband, John Ed of Jonesboro, LA; 6 grandchildren, Katrina Miller and husband, Eric , Karah Wilson and husband, Timmy, Kyle Armer and wife, Emily, and Tori and Michaela Coleman all of Sulphur and Curtis Killian and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and a sister.
