Curtis J. Delhommer, Jr., 70, of Lawrenceville, GA., passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 in the Gwinnett Medical Center. Mr. Delhommer was born in New Orleans, the son of Curtis and Armenta Delhommer. Curtis proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Post 400 of the American Legion as well as St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He retired from Solar Turbines as a turbine technician. Curtis loved to fish and spend time outdoors in his garden and bird watching. He was well known for his love of cooking and his obsession with the latest kitchen "gadgets". Curtis is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Barbara. Also left to cherish his memory are his daughter Tonia (Sam) Taylor of Covington, along with his step sons Stewart Buller of Baton Rouge and Casey (Kristie) Buller of Moss Bluff. Curtis has ten grandchildren: Samantha and Tabitha Taylor; Casey, Robby, Kirby, Sara, Meiah, Jeremy, Mason and Bella Buller. Curtis has two great granddaughters: Brentley Burlett and Klara Buller. He is also survived by his sisters: Penny Radecker, Cindy Thomas and Susan Pitre. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Fred Delhommer. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17, from 7:00-9:00pm with a rosary at 8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, April 18, at 11:00am in the Funeral Home chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
