Curtis Lynn Trahan

Lynn Trahan, 69, of Carlyss, La., died May 23, 2011 in M.D. Anderson Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Shirley officiating. Burial will follow in New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 3-9 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary at 6p.m. followed by another Rosary at 7p.m. at the funeral home with visitation resuming on Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Lynn was a native of Sulphur and a longtime resident of Hackberry. He was a 1959 graduate of Sulphur High School. After graduation he attended Northwestern State University and later served his country in the US Army. After the military he worked as a pipefitter and retired as a Superintendent. He also served for 15 years on the Hackberry Water Board. Lynn is survived by his wife, Brenda Trahan of 44 years of Carlyss, daughter, Christy Breaux and husband, Sam of Carlyss, son, Roy Trahan and partner, James Miller of Houston, TX., sister, Mignon Midge Parker and husband, Ernie of Lafayette, LA., three grandchildren, Kale Breaux, Pierce Breaux and Cooper Breaux all of Carlyss and many close friends from the Sulphur High Class of 59. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Trahan and Mignon Trahan Parker ,and a sister, Beverly Peppy Trahan. Pallbearers will be Sam Breaux, Roy Trahan, James Miller, David Richmond, Damon Broussard, Jamie Parker, AJ Woods, and Jay Duhon, honorary pallbearers are Ernie Parker, Marlin Bright, Mike Duhon, Porky LaSalle, Boopy Venissat, Rick Arnold and David Richard.
