Robison Funeral Home 528-0240 Curtis R. Spell Funeral services for Mr. Curtis R. Spell, 75, of Sulphur, will be held at 2pm, Saturday, May 01, 2010 in Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Nay Vickers will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery, Carlyss. Visitation will begin on Friday, April 30, 2010 from 3pm " 9pm and resume on Saturday, May 1st from 9am " time of service at 2pm. Mr. Spell passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Sulphur hospital. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his Parents: Evans & Almedia Spell; Son: Rodney Spell and Sister: Evelyn Schultz. Mr. Spell served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was of the Baptist Faith and attended Choupique Baptist Church in Carlyss. Mr. Spell was also a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 106 and the American Legion Post 179. He coached little league baseball and loved to spend time on his farm gardening. His most favorite TV show was the Price is Right even after Bob Barker left. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Dorothy Spell, of Sulphur; Daughter: Donnis Carpenter & husband Rick, of San Antonio, TX; 6 Grandchildren: Scott & Cody Spell, of Sulphur; Taylor, Devan, Blake & Shawna Carpenter, of San Antonio, TX; 2 Sisters: Bettie Koonce, of Houston; Joyce McInnis, of Sulphur; Brother: Huey Spell, of Sulphur along with a host of other family & friends.
