Curtiss Lynn Bennett

October 16, 1949 — September 26, 2022

Curtiss Lynn Bennett, 72, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022 in a local hospital.  Mr. Bennett was born October 16, 1949 in DeRidder, La. to Elbert Bennett, Sr. and Kathleen Spears Bennett. 

Curtiss will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his big heart and his love for the Lord.  He also liked hunting and fishing, was a master craftsman, extremely smart, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Lisa Taylor Bennett; his favorite oldest daughter, Allison Anderson (favorite son in law, Josh), his favorite son, Adam Bennett (favorite daughter in law, Rebecca) and his favorite youngest daughter, Emily Bennett; his favorite grandchildren, James, Ryan, Evelyn, Titus, and Ruth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Otis Bennett.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 10:30am at First Baptist Church of Longville with Rev. Corey Townsley officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.  Visitation will be on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff from 4:00 – 8:00pm and will resume on Saturday at the church beginning at 9:00am until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Longville Building Fund or the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
