Cyndi Caryl Gaspard

September 26, 1959 — March 5, 2013

The sweet, loving and gentle spirit of Cyndi left us on Tuesday March 5, 2013.

Cyndi was born on September 26, 1959 in Lake Charles to Franklin Garner (John) Warnken and Rebecca Becky Warnken. She was born with a happy heart and a beautiful smile. Cyndi is a Christian and a member of Sale Street Baptist Church. Cyndi Never took anything for granted. She was a woman of strong faith, believed in the strength of Christ, and the love and beauty that awaited her when she passed. Cyndi was kind, intelligent, and strong-willed. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh.

Cyndi and Douglas Paul Gaspard married in 1977, and they were still deeply in love after 35 years. Cyndi was a graduate of Barbe High School and the Institute of Cosmetology and Trichology in Lafayette, LA. She worked for several years as a cosmetologist in Lake Charles, but will be most remembered as the owner and operator of a unique fashion and accessory store, La Flirt, here in Lake Charles for 17 years. Most recently she worked in the office of Ace Air Conditioning, alongside her husband, Doug.

Cyndi had a Keen Eye for antiques, especially furniture and jewelry. She was an avid reader, loved all rock and roll, and healthy living and exercise.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her husband, Doug Gaspard, and son, Brett Paul Gaspard, of Lake Charles; mother, Rebecca Becky Warnken Ryder; sister, Elizabeth Betsy Davis; brothers, Randy (Stacy) Warnken of Farmington, NM; Mark (Kathy) Warnken of lake Charles; and Roman (Shelia) Ryder of Lake Charles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nadel Ace and Beverly Gaspard of lake Charles; sister-in-law, Debra (Steve) Adams of Galveston, TX; brother-in-laws, Greg (Donna) Gaspard of lake Charles; Mark (Lori) Gaspard of Lake Charles, Todd Gaspard, Lake Charles; and Brent (Kelly) Gaspard of Ohio.

Cyndi adored and was adored by her nieces and nephews, of which there are many: Christine, Lindsey, Haley, and Joshua Warnken; Alex (Corey) Couvillion, Eric and BrockWarnken; Isabella and Gabriella Ryder, and Jared Johnson; Heather (Paul) Yeates, Cody (Kellie Gaspard, Grant and Zach Gaspard; Monique (Gabe) Vick, Lance (Anna) Gaspard; and Remington and Keziah Gaspard; great nieces and nephews: Mya Warnken, Alivia and Kenner Gaspard; and Gracie and Chace Gaspard; and Keagan Yates.

Cyndi will miss her dear friend, Patrice Timmons, and the laughter and fun they shares together. And of course, LuLu, Bear, and Ursula, the family pets near and dear to her heart.

Cyndi was preceded in death by her father, Franklin Garner Warnken; maternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Madeline Rost; and paternal grandparents, Ralph and Ila Mae Foreman.

Cyndi left everyone she touched the better for knowing her. Her spirit will always be with us and her love forever in our hearts.

Enjoy every moment with your family and friends and always tell them how much they are loved.

Rest in peace in the arms of God, Cyndi.
