Cyndi (Gwatney) Bullington, 70 of Lake Charles was called Home on December 28, 2020.
Cyndi was born December 5, 1950 in Lake Charles, LA to Lynn Williams and Lura Mae Dugas.
She had three passions in her life, her family, her trucking and animal rescuing. As a mother she led by example in teaching her children to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient. She worked in the trucking industry from 1979 to 2015. She was a former Regional Manager for Transwood Trucking, and later as an owner/operator. She successfully traveled over 3 million accident free miles and earned numerous safety awards.
Through her dedicated work with countless animal rescue groups, both local and nationwide she saved the lives of thousands of animals. Cyndi was a giver who gave more than she had with a full heart and a never an empty food bin. She tirelessly networked to find, heal, and place thousands of companion animals.
She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Abby and Edith Bruney, her parents Kennie and Lura Mae Dugas, and brother Lloyd Williams.
Those left to carry on her calling are her husband Jim Bullington; her children, Nikki Breaux , Ian Gwatney, Edie (Russell) Williams-Oliver, Monica (Kevin) Wright; her grandchildren, Jared Nauck, Blane Nauck, Kaytlynn Watson, Victoria Wright, Peyton Wright; great grandchild, Liam Nauck; her siblings, Laura Terrell, Pete Williams, and Jason Dugas; numerous nieces and nephews, and her close friend and rescue partner, Gayla Brimer
