Cynthia Ann(Thompson) Stafford

October 3, 1956 — May 26, 2012

Cindy, referred to by some of her dearest friends as Yogi, will always be remembered for her zest for life and the joy she found in it. She especially enjoyed and celebrated her birthday week'. She lived each day to its fullest with her contagious laugh and dynamic personality. She was a kind, generous lady and exceptionally loyal friend.

Cindy was raised in Hampton, NH and graduated Winnacunnet High School class of '74. While Cindy left Hampton to pursue her passion for horses and an equestrian career, she ultimately settled and built a business in Lake Charles, Louisiana. She never lost her love for New Hampshire and the relationships with friends, coming back to visit whenever possible.

After meeting her beloved late husband, Ronald Ray, she became an avid Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan. She and Ron enjoyed love of family, friends, their pets, traveling, sports, as well as their all too brief, but cherished time in Pittsburgh where in true Stafford form they became devoted Steelers fans.

Cindy was truly as asset to her community, participating in many civic organizations. She was a 20 plus year member of Buccaneers of Lake Charles serving several years on the Board of Directors. She was also a member of the Krewe de Zeus. Through her company, Triangle Electric, she was a strong supporter and worked tirelessly for the Relay of Life, Contraband Days and the annual tricycle races sponsored by Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

All of us who knew and loved Cindy will cherish the memories of time spent with her. Our lives have been forever blessed and loving her is a gift we will all treasure.

Cin, you lived the life you imagined and your legacy to those you loved is that we will do the same.

A donation in her memory to Downtown Animal Hospital, 113 W Clarence Street Lake Charles, LA. 70601, for their support to various animal welfare organizations would be a fitting gift to Cindy's generous spirit.
