Cynthia Hornsby Grimmett

Cynthia “Cindy” Hornsby Grimmett, 46, of Lake Charles, LA died Thursday, January 07, 2016 in a local hospital.

Cindy was born on December 4, 1969 in Lake Charles, LA to Abner and Patsy Hornsby. She loved being around family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren. Cindy worked for Capital One Bank as a branch manager. She was a 1987 graduate of Barbe High School.

She is survived by her husband Carl Grimmett of Lake Charles, LA; two children, Lindsey Taylor Matte and husband Robert of Lake Charles, LA and Jacob Ison of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Steve Hornsby; one sister, Lisa Wade both of Lake Charles, LA; and two grandchildren, Coben and Jolie Matte.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Patsy and Abner Hornsby.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM until time of service on Monday at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate services. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery.
