Cynthia Ramie

Cynthia Janay Weaver Ramie, 65, of Moss Bluff, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021 at her daughter’s residence.

Born July 28, 1956 in Mobile, AL, Ms. Ramie traveled with her father’s military career, until settling in Lake Charles, where she graduated from Barbe High School.  She then earned her associate degree in Drafting from Sowela Technical Institute, but her true passion was always for children.  After raising her family, she worked as a pre-school teacher at First Baptist Christian Academy in Moss Bluff.  Ms. Ramie was a very faithful woman and always believed in the power of prayer.  She was a very giving and kindhearted lady who had a love for anything crafty, gardening, shopping, and listening to music, but her true passion was for her children and grandchildren.

Ms. Ramie is survived by her daughter, Sarah Burleigh and husband Erik of Moss Bluff; son, David Ramie and wife Crystal of Ragley; siblings, Jack Robinson Weaver, II of Texas, Kathy Gipson and husband Paul of Arizona, and Daniel Wesley Weaver of Lake Charles; father of her children, David Ramie; and her beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Brianna, Brayden, Faren, Rylan, and Abbigail Burleigh, and Zachary, Lily, Jubilee, and Max Ramie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mavoneen Strickland and Jack Robinson Weaver.

Her cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  A celebration of her life will begin at 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at CrossRoads Church Moss Bluff.
