Cynthia Tubbs

Cynthia Kay Bailey Tubbs, 68, was called home by the Lord, JESUS CHRIST, on October 13, 2018 at her residence in Sulphur, LA. 

Mrs. Tubbs was born on January 15, 1950 in Batesville, MS to the late Benjamin Travis and Margaret Maxine (Sullivan) Bailey.  She was a kind faithful Christian member of Celebration Worship Church in Sulphur.  Mrs. Tubbs was a dedicated tender-hearted wife, and very loving attentive mother with a fun sense of humor.  Cynthia’s beautiful smile gave everyone that knew her a warm feeling.  Her sons could not have asked for a better mom.  She will live forever in our hearts and treasured memories.  Cynthia loved nature and enjoyed watching red cardinals.  As a woman of integrity, Cynthia will be greatly missed by her friends around town and family.  Much love always!

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, James Ronald Tubbs of Sulphur, LA; her son and daughter in law, Ronald Brandon and Kay Louise Tubbs of Louisville, KY; her granddaughter, Marissa Kay Fontenot; her son, Phillip Bryan Tubbs of Louisville, KY; four sisters, Sharon Bailey Ross of Grenada, MS, July Montgomery Crowder (Bill) of Jackson, MS, Jeannie Montgomery Fortier (Fred) of Ripley, MS and Julie Bailey Cupit (Eddie) of Grenada, MS; along with many nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held for Cynthia in Sulphur, LA at a later date.  Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada, MS at a later date.  A luncheon for family and friends will follow the graveside at 333 Restaurant. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or Celebration Worship Church in Sulphur, LA.
