Cyril Darbonne

Cyril Darbonne, 69, of Lake Charles entered into rest Thursday, June 2, 2011 from the comfort to his home.

Mr. Darbonne was born in Eunice, LA and has lived fifty years in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School and served the United States Army. Mr. Darbonne worked forty three years as a Roofer in Construction Industry for Arabie Roofing. He enjoyed fishing and hunting during his younger years. Mr. Darbonne was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.

He leaves to honor his memory, six children, Dennis Darbonne, Monica Jenkins, Karl Darbonne and Robert Darbonne and wife Shellie, all of Moss Bluff, Scott Darbonne and wife Brandie of Ragley and Brent Darbonne of Reeves; twelve grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; two brothers; Kenneth Darbonne of Sulphur and Stephen Darbonne and wife Linda of Lake Charles and two sisters, Sue Waits and husband Terry of Topsy and Jennifer Davis of Buna, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Celina Fontenot Darbonne; one brother, Donald Darbonne and one grandchild, Jessica Darbonne.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 06, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Charles Dubois will officiate. Interment will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday will be from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
