Daisy Mae Finley Foreman Milsted, 87, died Thursday, August 1, 2013, in a local care facility.
Born to William Perryman Finley, Sr. and Daisy Mae Howard Finley in Alexandria, Louisiana, Mrs. Milsted lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She was a 1942 graduate of St. Charles Academy and worked as a secretary for Allied Finance. Mrs. Milsted was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She was a devoted homemaker and took great joy in her family.
Mrs. Milsted is survived by her children, John Patrick Foreman and wife Nadine of Bossier City, Carolyn Fontenot and husband Belvin of Lake Charles, and Daniel Karl Foreman and wife Victoria of Sulphur; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, John Calvin Foreman, and by her second husband, Joseph R. Milsted.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Msgr. Vincent Sedita will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m.
The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the compassionate care given their beloved mother to the doctors and staff of Rosewood Nursing Center and St. Patrick Hospice.
