Dakota Allyn Doc Bonner, 29, of Moss Bluff, LA, died on July 15, 2020 in his residence.
Dakota was born July 12, 1991 in Lake Charles, LA. He was well traveled, but his roots were always planted in Louisiana. He worked for Turner Industries Group for a number of years and most recently at Inserve. Dakota lived by the motto, “Life was always a vacation” and made friends with everyone that he would meet. He was smart, talented, had a love for learning, and always carried the lantern during the darkest of times. He was a true anchor for most that he met and will be missed dearly.
Dakota is survived by his mother, Jacquie Bonner and Russell Ammons; father, Wyatt Bonner; brother, Austin Bonner; grandparents, Wilson “Patrick” and Evelyn Arabie and Jolene Henke Bonner; great-grandfather, Wilson Arabie; aunts, Jessica Bonner Rimbert and April Arabie ; and uncle, Michael Arabie; girlfriend, Allison Webb; his beloved dog, Girl; and a host of friends and cousins that he loved dearly
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Allan Harrison Bonner; great-grandparents, Virgene Bonner, Alfred and Jenice Henke, and Chester and Avis Medler Foley; and his dogs, Zeus and Precious.
His memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the start of the service.
In compliance with current COVID-19 mandates, we respectfully request that gatherings be limited and all attendants wear face masks, but all are welcome.
