Dale Errol Bacon

Dale Errol Bacon, 63, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in his residence.

Mr. Bacon was born October 4, 1952 in Lake Charles, LA, where he lived most of his life. He was a 1971 graduate of LaGrange High School, received his bachelor’s degree from McNeese State University, attended ULL in Lafayette, and did his master’s work at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA. He worked as a speech pathologist for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. Mr. Bacon was a member of South City Christian Church and enjoyed collecting antiques. He had a great love for his dogs and was a member of the Calcasieu Kennel Club.

Mr. Bacon is survived by his mother, Betty Bacon of Lake Charles; siblings, Robby Bacon and wife Sharon of Lake Charles, Dangela Barnes and husband John of Schoharie, NY and Todd Bacon of Dallas, TX; his dogs, Rodj, Jazz, and Sophie; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Bacon; and his grandmother, Axee O’Conner.

His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, led by his family. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Thursday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
