Dallas John Dartez

Dallas John Dartez, 80, of Anacoco, LA died Monday, December 15, 2014. Dallas was born on August 10, 1934 in Kaplan, LA to Senua and Amay Dartez. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed nature and the great outdoors surrounded by his family and friends. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren taking them along on many trips. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Irene Dartez; four children, Richard Dartez and wife Pam of Toledo Bend, LA, Dallas Jr. Dartez and wife Veronica of Laredo, TX, Randall Dartez of Toledo Bend, LA, and Vicky Veron and husband Dale of Denham Springs, LA; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren; one brother, Clanas J. Dartez and wife Rose Nacotoches, LA; and sister, Jean Jordan and husband Vick of Nashville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, May Humphrey; two brothers, Vernon Dartez and Dunice Dartez; one daughter, Kathryn Ann Moreaux. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home. A rosary will begin at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lacassine Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate services.
