Daniel Lemoine

Daniel "Danny" Lee Lemoine, 58, of Moss Bluff was called home at 6:08 PM Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at his residence.

Danny was born on August 22, 1953 in Bunkie, LA. He was raised in Simmesport, LA, and was a resident of Moss Bluff, LA for 32 years. He worked for Ditch Witch Equipment Company for 38 years. Mr. Lemoine was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church since 1984. Danny was a member of The Knights of Columbus Council 3622 for 28 years. He held numerous offices including Grand Knight for 6 years and currently Treasurer. Mr. Lemoine became a member of Monsignor Cramer's Assembly, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, on January 22, 2005. In his spare time, Danny "Poppa" loved spending time with his grandchildren, spending time in his yard and gardening. He will always be remembered for his generosity, caring heart, and always putting others first.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Victoria " Vicki" Maddie Lemoine, formerly of Simmesport, LA; son, Garrett Lemoine and wife Elizabeth of Moss Bluff, LA; daughter, Miranda Stansifer and husband Michael of Lumberton, TX; grandchildren, Wyatt Stansifer, Chloe Lemoine and Adeline Stansifer; father, James Elliott Lemoine of Simmesport, LA; siblings, Ethel Cooper and husband David of Livonia, LA; Jerry Lemoine and wife Linda of Alexandria, LA; Thomas Lemoine of Simmesport, LA; Charles Lemoine of Lettswoth, LA; numerous nieces and nephews, and in-laws Victor and Marjorie Maddie of Simmesport, LA.

Danny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Teressa "Granny" Richner Lemoine and grandparents.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday at 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Theodore Catholic Church in Moss Bluff, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in the New Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
