Daniel Mitchell “Dano” LeDoux, 59, of Lake Charles passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 in the comfort of his home.
Mr. LeDoux was born in Lake Charles and lived his life between Biloxi and Lake Charles. He attended LaGrange High School. He was a skilled Roofer, having worked much of his life in Biloxi, primarily for Saucier Brothers Roofing and various others in the Lake area. During his younger years, he enjoyed league baseball and running cross country track. Mr. LeDoux enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, watching westerns and cheering on the LSU Tigers. He also enjoyed cooking, especially for gatherings of friends and family. Above all, he loved doing for others. He was a selfless man that required very little, gave immensely, took great pride in being the protector of his family and found it to be a true blessing to spend time with his parents. Mr. LeDoux will be most remembered for the manner in which he lived his life, a manner approved in the eyes of the Lord and his father, “kindness, always making an effort to bring a smile to all those he encountered”.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, “Doodle Bug” Danielle Michelle LeDoux of Biloxi, MS; step-daughter, Reneé Comeaux of Ocean Springs, MS; parents, Benny R. “Pete” LeDoux and Mary Lou Mire LeDoux of Lake Charles; three grandchildren, Evan Hill, Nadia Comeaux and Jayla Hill, of Ocean Springs, MS; four sisters, Debra Dupre (Jimi), Paula LeJeune (Greg) and Terri Pruner (David), all of Lake Charles and Tracie LeDoux (Renee Pellerin) of Lafayette and one brother, Ross LeDoux (Shontel) of Covington; eight nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dearest friends who he considered family, Teresa and Cole Martin, as well as many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Ray LeDoux; paternal grandparents, Hugh LeDoux and Lillie Gansner LeDoux and maternal grandparents, Emedis and Edna Mire.
In respect of Covid concerns and protection of Danny’s parents, services will be private. Deacon Harold Nixon will officiate. Interment will follow in Sallier Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
