Danny Boy Mckay, Jr.

Funeral Services for Danny Boy McKay, Jr., 51, of Lake Charles, will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 13, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Moss Bluff. The Rev. Terry Ardizonne will officiate.

Danny Boy died at his residence on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

He was a native of Gonzales, La. and had lived in the Lake Charles, Moss Bluff areas most of his life. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School.

After graduation Danny Boy went to work as an offshore welder, a profession that he followed for years. He was well known for his welding expertise and was considered by many as an expert welder.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Thomas Matthew (Matt) McKay and Seth Daniel McKay; a daughter, Ella; and stepson, Corey LaPoint, all of Lake Charles. He is also survived by his mother Lisbeth Salmons of Topsy, a brother Jason Salmons of Gillis; sister, Danette Manuel and husband Robert, of Lake Charles; nieces and nephews, Mariah Hernandez, Marissa Manuel, Jason Hebert and Jozlyn Salmons.  He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Kay McKay

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
