Danny Wayne Monceaux

Danny Wayne Monceaux, 36, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Friday, May 12, 2017.

Danny was born October 24, 1980 in Freeport, TX and lived most of his life in Westlake.  He was a 1999 graduate of Westlake High School and previously worked at Billy Navarre and in the oil field.  He worked as a pipefitter for the past year at CB & I.  He attended Water’s Edge Church.  He was a die-hard LSU fan who enjoyed fishing, working around the house, spending time outdoors and could be found at Planet Fitness every morning.  Danny was like a shining light, he always attracted people to him and they enjoyed being around him.  He was loved by all who met him and will be missed dearly.

Danny is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Jade Monceaux of Lake Charles; parents, Mary Lee and Steve Monceaux, Sr. of Jonesboro, LA; fiancée and love of his life, Laci Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; brother, Steve “Moose” Monceaux, Jr. and wife Danelle of Bryant, AR; sister, Brandi Herbster and husband Michael of Lake Charles; nephew and God-child, Tripp Monceaux; and nieces, Hannah and Rachel Herbster.

His funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Niblett’s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, LA.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
