Daphne Arnaud, 84 of Sulphur, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in England, on August 7, 1939.
Daphne loved spending time with her family and cherished every moment with her grandkids. She was proud of her British heritage and enjoyed a nice cup of tea while reading about and keeping up with the life events of the Royal Family. Daphne met the love of her life Iry, during his tour in England with the United States Air Force. They were married in April of 1954 and spent 56 wonderful years together as husband and wife.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Laurie (Todd) Lominac; grandchildren, Teresa (Jason) Pelt, Colby Richard, Austin (Lakyn) Richard, Hailey (Chase) Brock, Courtney (Matt) Lominac and Tierra (Dillion) Dees; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew, A.J., Bentley, Wesley, Tinley, Ripley, Adalyn, Blacen, Wyatt, Embree, Khosten, Kayson, Ivy, Hayden, Oaklee, Leighton, Lynleigh, and Blakeleigh; and her faithful companion – her dog, Jayd. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Iry Arnaud; son, Kevin Arnaud; great-granddaughter Megan LeQueux; brother, Peter Roberts.
Funeral services to celebrate Daphne’s life will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 4, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, La. Father John Welch, M.S. will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, 2023, with a Rosary at 3:00 PM. Visitation will continue from 8:00 AM, Monday, December 4, 2023, until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss, under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
