Dari E. Hinton

Dari Elizabeth Hinton, 29, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died on Saturday, November 10, 2012.

Dari was born on February 20, 1983, to Jane Elizabeth Pitman and Terry Alan Hinton of Lake Charles. She attended A.M. Barbe High School. Dari was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She enjoyed gymnastics, softball and spending time with her daughter Abby, the love of her life. Dari was a fun loving and humorous young lady who loved to make people laugh. She enjoyed life and having fun at family gatherings.

Dari is survived by her parents; her daughter Abby Gayle Hinton of Lake Charles; her sisters, Lauren Hinton Pennick and husband Brian, and Stephanie Anne Hinton of Lake Charles; brothers, Eric Joseph Sonnier, Austin Alan Hinton and Noah Scott Hinton of Lake Charles, maternal grandparents, John L. Pitman and Alma Bordelon Pitman of Lake Charles. She is also survived by four nieces, Laken and Jordyn Pennick and Mary Anne and Morgan Hinton along with one nephew, Hunter Pennick. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John E. Hinton and Brenda Jean Whittington Hinton, and her cousin Chad Wayne Foster.

Funeral services for Dari will be held on Tuesday, November 13, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday, November 12, from 4-9 PM and will continue at 8:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Chris Fuselier will officiate.
