Darrel Bud Granger

Darrel Ray "Bud" Granger, 66, of Lake Charles, LA died at 7:30 AM on Monday, March 26, 2012 in a local care facility.

Mr. Granger was born January 7, 1946 in Lake Charles, LA. He was a 1964 graduate of LaGrange High School and graduated from McNeese State University with his degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed by Schlumberger Offshore for a number of years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed feeding his squirrels and doves.

Mr. Granger is survived by his daughter, Annette Deshotel and husband Greg and Marlo Granger, both of Lake Charles; brothers, Ronald Granger and wife Lee of Big Lake and Wilson Granger, Jr. and wife Judy of Sulphur, LA; sisters, Judy Whetnall and husband Roger and Linda Landry and husband Bobby, all of Carlyss; two grandchildren, Jacob and Chase Deshotel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Joseph Granger and wife Ann and mother, Dorothy Gossett Pellerin and husband Andrew.

His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
