Darryl Lynn Royer, Sr.

Darryl Lynn Royer, Sr., 64, went to be with the Lord on Saturday July 9, 2016 at his residence.

Darryl was born December 5, 1951 in DeQuincy, Louisiana to Willis Ray and Gertie Grace Royer, Jr. Darryl was raised in Sulphur, LA but moved back to DeQuincy, LA in 1963 and raised his family. He has been a resident of Singer for the last 38 years.

Darryl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He worked as a pipeline welder, loved the outdoors, fishing, planting trees, shooting pool and visiting with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Ray Royer, Jr and Gertie Grace Richard Royer.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his loving and caring wife of 46 years, Connie Royer; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl Lynn and Angela Royer, Jr of Singer, LA; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linette and Jeffery Smith of Singer, LA and Deirdre and Steven Pickering of Fields, LA; brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Susan Royer of DeQuincy; sister, Carol Marcantel of DeQuincy, LA; 6 grandchildren, Tristan Pickering, Koby Lane Royer, Kolten Ryan Royer, Madelynn Grace Smith, Matthew Lynn Smith and Joseph Myers.

Funeral services will be conducted 10AM Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Shiloh Pentecostal Church in DeQuincy, LA with Rev. Donnis Ashworth and Bro. Eddie Ray Hoosier, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Hyatt Cemetery in Fields, LA.

Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 4PM till 8PM at the church.
