Darryl Peltier

October 22, 1962 — January 27, 2025

Darryl Vaughn Peltier, 62, passed away at home in Sulphur, LA on January 27, 2025.

Darryl was a graduate of Sulphur High School. He worked at Hi Mont and later for Ohmart Vega as an Instrument Tech. He was a free spirit who enjoyed many adventures on his beloved Harley motorcycle, even going as far as Sturgis. He was an avid fisherman, especially enjoying Toledo Bend Lake and Big Lake.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his parents, Karen Smith (Jim) of Lake Charles, LA, and Morse Vaughn Peltier (Mary Ellen) of Sulphur, LA; his sisters, Michele Berg (David) of Maryland, and Danielle Wyble (Derek) of Lake Charles, LA; his nephews, Darryl W. Peltier (Laken), and Joseph Allen Peltier; and his special friend and fishing partner, Doris Rowley.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kent Lowell Peltier, Todd Allan Peltier, and Christopher Peltier; and his grandparents, C. E. Verrett & Glenna Verrett LeBlanc, and J. B. & Hazel Peltier.

Darryl’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 2:00 PM.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
