Daryl Zachary Khoury

Daryl Zachary Khoury age 57 passed away December 31, 2011. He was born in Lake Charles, August 12, 1954 to Laura Launey Khoury Davidson Isaac Z. Khoury. He graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1972 and received his BA from McNeese. He was a life long member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

Daryl was most recently employed by Globalstar in the sales division of outdoor communication products. His previous employment also included Reeves Development and The Pioneer Club where he made life long friendships.

He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman with a particular affection for the marshlands of Louisiana and will be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to share a blind with him. Daryl was a self-proclaimed, world renowned hunting guide and guided for hundreds of sportsmen throughout his lifetime.

He was a maestro in the kitchen and loved to cook for his family and friends. Daryl will be remembered for his kind heart and gentle soul. Whether it was a conversation at the grocery store or an idle chat while casting a line Daryl never met a stranger.

His greatest love and greatest passion in life were his beautiful children who meant everything to him. He is survived by his son, Christopher Robert and daughters, Erin Olivia and Natalie Brooke Khoury all of Lake Charles. He took great pride in their many accomplishments. He was an exceptional father and will be dearly missed by his children. Also, brothers, John (Susan) Khoury of Roswell, Georgia, Joey (Delores) Davidson of Topsy, and sister Kathy Rousso of Lafayette. Left to mourn his loss include his friend and former wife, Lee Khoury Robinson, and extended family, Chad and Jan Thielen, Larry and Kristi George, Lisa Counce, Denise Morgan, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Zachary Cornay.

Visitation will be held in Hardtner Hall at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Monday, January 2nd, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 3rd at 11:00 am in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Very Rev. Jack Myers will officiate.
