Dauries "Jake" Ray Manuel

Jake Manuel, 65, of Carlyss, LA died in a local hospital on December 22, 2023, after a brief illness. Jake was born on December 9, 1958, in Lake Charles, LA to Edwin and Delores Manuel.
Jake enjoyed building things, watching football games, and hunting and fishing while enjoying the great outdoors. He also enjoyed a lifelong passion of being involved in horse racing. Jake worked for Bevel Construction, Stines Lumber, and lastly working security for West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Tammy Parker Manuel; two children, Cassie Ellender and husband Jonathan and Corbett Manuel; 3 grandchildren, Lilli Ellender, Addison Ellender, and Bryla Ellender; and one sister, Phyllis Rogers.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Neil Manuel.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. A time of fellowship will be from 12:00 PM until time of memorial services on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Pastor Lonnie Gothrup will officiate services.
