David Aaron Brassieur
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Aaron Brassieur, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who departed from this world on February 26, 2024. He was 47 years old.
A devoted father above all else, David cherished his role as a parent to his young children, Henry (9), Wallace (8), Beatrice (6), and Willa (4). His unwavering love and boundless affection enriched their lives in countless ways, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
David was a 1995 graduate of Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, LA. He went on to study Earth and Environmental Science at University of New Orleans where he received his B.S. in Petroleum Geology, and M.S. in Geology/Geophysics. David was an avid deer hunter and fisherman who spent countless hours teaching his children to hunt and fish, archery, and to appreciate nature.
Beyond his role as a father, David was a fun-loving son, brother, and friend. His passion for life and comedic personality touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
David was preceded in death by grandparents, Jackson and Amy Brassieur, and George and Peggy Roy.
David is survived by wife, Emilie Donaldson and children, Henry Brassieur, Wallace Brassieur, Beatrice Brassieur, and Willa Brassieur; parents, Jay and Marcia Brassieur and Eric and Jill Dohrman; brother, Derrick (Lyndee) Brassieur; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, David’s legacy of love for his family will continue to inspire and guide his children as they navigate life’s journey. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Johnson’s Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA.
