David Allen Fruge

David Allen Fruge, 64, of Lake Charles, LA, died on August 30, 2020 at his son’s residence.

Mr. Fruge was born December 26, 1955 in Lake Charles, LA, where he was a life-long resident. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked as an automotive mechanic and retired from the industries. Mr. Fruge was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He will be remembered as a jokester and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. His true passion in life was for his grandchildren, as he loved spending time with them front porch.

Mr. Fruge is survived by his son, William Fruge and wife Emily of Lacassine; mother, Rena Fruge of Lake Charles; siblings, Anthony Fruge, Jason Fruge, Steven Fruge, Merry Mott, Janet Allen, and Patricia Miles; grandchildren, Amber Fontenot, Autumn Futch, Alexzander Fontenot, Katy Fontenot, Brooklyn Fontenot, Preston Fruge, and Christie Doughty; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Carolyn Fruge; father, Preston Fruge; and brother, Robert Fruge.

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings. Deacon Mike Tramel will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Prien Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be at Miguez Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
