Born September 28, 1951, David lost his fight with Alzheimer’s on May 13, 2020.
He was known as “Cookieman” to his friends and retired from Sasol after 34 years. He also worked for CPSO Reserve division for many years.
Mr. Cooke leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 34 years, Carol Neppes Cooke; 3 step-children, Debbie Newell (Tom Newell), Kathy Blake (Kevin Austin), and Jimmy Blake, Jr. (Lindy Babaz). He was Pawpaw to 9 grandchildren, Shane Favre (Jerrica), Jimmy Blake, III, Ashley Newell Bernhard (Louden), Taylor Lalonde, Hunter Blake, Ryan Newell, Tori Meadows (Cody), Whitney Babaz, and Reese Babaz; plus 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Noble and Elvira Cooke.
He loved to travel, listen to music, work in the yard (except for weeding), and woodwork. He also enjoyed working with the Special Olympics, grilling for friends and family, and was always available to anyone.
The family would like to express a special thank you to St Joseph’s Hospice for the excellent care they took of him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date with family and friends. His cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
