David Eugene Mullett

David Eugene Mullett was born November 2, 1938 in New Martinsville, WV.

He attended Magnolia High School, graduating class of 1956. Following high school he worked for PPG in West Virginia for two years, then enrolled in West Virginia University where he majored in chemical engineering. Following his graduation in 1965 he again began working for PPG in different locations; Natrium, WV, the General Office in Pittsburgh, and most recently Lake Charles. After thirty-nine years of continuous employment, he retired in 2002. He was a faithful member of St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church in Lake Charles, LA.  

He was welcomed into Heaven by; parents, Jesse Beryl and Mary Nancy Mullett; sister, Nancy and brother in-law, Dave Pyles; brother, Tom (Patricia, Jeanne)  and sister in-law, Patricia (Chuck).

Those left to cherish his memory; his wife of sixty-three years, Sandra M. Mullett; sons, Mark L. (Betsy) Mullett, Matthew D. (Lisa) Mullett, both of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Alexandra (Josh) Moreno, Anna Mullett, Abby (Hogan) Smith, Madison Mullett; two great grandchildren, Lawson and Isabella Moreno; brother, Charles Mullett of Fairmont, WV, and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends on Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the Narthex of St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church from 3pm to 5pm. Inurnment services at St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church will be private, led by Dr. John Robert Black.

In lieu of flowers, David requested memorial donations be made to St. Luke Simpson United Methodist Church.
