David Kenneth "Ken" Blackwell

David Kenneth “Ken” Blackwell, 85, of Sulphur, passed away peacefully at a local care center following a brief illness.

Ken was a native of Many and longtime resident of the Sulphur area. He was a contractor by profession, and never met a stranger.

Preceding Ken in death are his parents, Jim and Edna Self Blackwell and his wife of 42 years and mother of his children, Glenda Sue Miller Blackwell. He leaves to honor his memory his wife of 20 years, Norma Ruth Grantham Blackwell; daughters, Shelia Savoy and Angie Barnes (Barry); step daughters, Donna Landry, Bonnie Perrodin (Keenan), Cassie Brimberry (Keith) and Amy Dore; grandchildren, Kirk Savoy, Michael Savoy(Sophia), James David Barnes(Trinity) and Trevor Barnes; step grandchildren, Brooke Benny (Tucker), Lauren Willis (Aaron), Colby Perrodin, Haley Thibodeaux (Cory), Lilly, Bliss and Barron Brimberry,, Victoria Barrileaux and Madison Barrileaux; 6 Great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren.

Family services are planned for 11:00 AM Saturday March 20, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens with Pastor Ray Hyatt officiating. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
