David Lee Dave Pittman

David Lee Dave Pittman, 62, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 in the comfort of his home.

Mr. Pittman was born in Youngstown, OH and was transferred from Pittsburg, PA to Lake Charles thirty five years ago. He was a Traffic Manager for over thirty years at PPG Industries and was involved with PPG Partners in Education at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed working in his yard and outdoor sports. Mr. Pittman was quite an athlete, played football for Iowa State and coached his sons' teams in soccer, baseball and basketball and in later years loved playing golf with them. Mr. Pittman was admirable man, taking great pride in his faith, devotion to his family and his work.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of thirty-one years, Lynn Pecue Pittman; two sons, Derek Pittman and Jared Pittman, all of Lake Charles and one brother , William Pittman and wife Lee of Cincinnati, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Kathyrn Yurak Pittman.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 26, 2013 from St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Sunday will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
