David Lewis Levingston

David Lewis Levingston, 66, of Lake Charles died on Friday, September 28, 2012 in his residence.

Mr. Levingston was born on July 25, 1946 in Lake Charles and was a graduate of LaGrange Senior High School where he was a star basket ball player. He was raised in Trinity Baptist Church. Mr. Levingston was a law school graduate of LSU and began practicing real estate law. He later founded and operated Peoples Home Mortgage.

He was an avid LSU fan. Mr. Levingston enjoyed genealogy and had great interest in the French language and culture.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Kenneth, Ryan, and Paul Levingston and wife Sherrie; his parents, Ernest and Kathleen Levingston; a sister, Jeanne Owens and husband James; a brother, James Levingston; and three grandchildren, Rebecca Elizabeth Levingston, Gabriel Ernest Levingston, and Jason Alexander Vincent all of the Lake Charles area.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Kelly Vigo will officiate. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
