David Roy Adams

David Roy Adams, 61, of Moss Bluff passed away at 8:20 AM on Sunday, January 28, 2024 in his residence.

David was born on August 24, 1962 in Welsh, LA and has lived in Moss Bluff for 30 years. He was a graduate of Rayne High School and attended Sowela Technical Institute where he earned an associate degree in aviation maintenance technology.   David served in the US Air Force before beginning his 27 year career at Northrop Grumman. During his dedication to Grumman he belonged to the company golf league, softball league, volleyball league, and football league.  He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.

Amongst having a passion for sports, he was also an avid fisherman and hunter.  David will be remembered for his ability to lighten a room without even having said a word.  His sense of humor could be termed “dorky” and his children lovingly joke that his favorite past time was stalking them.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Jennifer Adams; children, Whitney Denise Adams, Courtney Marie Crochet, Caitlin Christine Adams, and Ashley Cameron Garner; siblings, Denise Breard, Dennis Romero, Dina Pizzuto, Donald Adams, Debbie Stevenson, John Paul Romero, Kellie Raxsdale, Mark Adams, Leah Sharpe, Renee Hollifield, Lynn Zeigler and Sharon Totora; and ten grandchildren with two on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Paul Romero; brother, Dwayne Adams; sister, Cora Adams; niece, Cassandra Adams; nephew, Joey Eastman; and father in law, Charles Banzhof.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel.  The Rev. Steve Shirley will officiate.  A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
