Davis Joseph Matte

Davis Joseph Matte, 56, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 17, 2016.

Davis was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved to make people laugh and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and fishing. His grandbabies were his world.

Preceding Davis in his death are his parents, Abra John and Agnes Sherman Matte and a grandson, Landon Matte. He leaves to honor and cherish his memories, his daughter, Sheree Matte; son, Derek Matte; four grandchildren, Maycee Vidrine, Jayden Vidrine, Blyten Matte and Peyton Wisner; two brothers, Will Matte and A.J. Matte; sister, Bertha Maxey.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM today, Friday April 22, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 1:30 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Sifford officiating. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery.
