Dawn Lejeune Taylor

Jessica Dawn LeJeune Taylor, 49, of Lake Charles died Saturday, October 20, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and friends.

Dawn was a native of Welsh and a 1987 graduate of Welsh High School. She earned her Bachelor’s from McNeese State University and worked in the banking industry for many years with Calcasieu Marine Bank, Hibernia Bank and Capital One Bank until working with the property management of the Capital One Bank building in downtown. Dawn was very active with her family and community. She enjoyed Mardi Gras Festivities, and most especially following her children’s sporting and high school activities. She was a Barbe Buc mom for Baseball, Football and the Barbe Band of Blue. Dawn was of the Catholic Faith and member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memories, are her beloved husband, Pat Taylor; parents, Warren Joseph and Carolyn Ann LaBauve LeJeune, Welsh; children, Reed Joseph Alexander (Melissa Fontenot), Marshall David Alexander, Michael Patrick Taylor, Samuel Erwin Taylor, John Austin Taylor, and Abigail Fontenot, all of Lake Charles; brother, Jarred Dustin LeJeune (Elizabeth) and their children, Meredith Salley and Charlie Joseph LeJeune, all of Youngsville and many friends and extended family.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home and continue until 8:00 PM. A rosary is to be recited at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh with Father Alan Trouille serving as celebrant. Inurnment in the mausoleum of Our Lady of Seven Dolors will follow the Mass on Wednesday.
