Cynthia Dawn Tyler Laviolet, 51, of Iowa passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. Mrs. Laviolet was born in Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Iowa, LA. She was a 1980 graduate of LaGrange High School. She loved being a mom, following her daughter's activities from early childhood to yesterday. She was also "everyone's Mom", capturing the hearts of countless kids and their families along the way. She always had an open door, a place on the porch and a "weekend rodeo", everyone welcome! Her greatest joy, as well as her biggest fan was her granddaughter. Mrs. Laviolet also had a soft spot for animals and spoiled them beyond reason. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and actively supporting the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Foundation. She will be most remembered for her spirit and her ability to say what was on her mind. She leaves to cherish her memory, her soul mate of 33 years, Ray James Laviolet; three daughters, Meagan Kopesky and husband Jay, Haylee Shuff and husband Trent, and Shelbi Laviolet; granddaughter Maddisyn Paige Shuff; mother, Dolores Tyler; all of Iowa, one brother, Breck Tyler and wife Belinda of Lake Charles; one sister, Maria Williams and husband Jimmy of Iowa; aunt and uncle, Rita Campbell and Leward and wife Norma Dean Laviolette; nieces and nephews that were like children, Angela Allen and husband Brian, Phillip Tyler and wife Anna, Britni McGinnis and husband Chris, Kimberly Williams and Jacob Williams; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Pete Tyler; one brother, Byron Tyler; maternal grandparents, Exodus "Boss" and Evie Laviolette; her paternal grandparents, Sidney Reid and Sally Tyler; father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Edna Duhon Laviolet; grandparents-in-law, Frank and Lita Laviolet; beloved uncles, Reid Tyler and Bill Terry; one nephew, Brantly Wayne Tyler.
