Debbie Hampton

Debbie Lynn Hampton, 65, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 15, 2021.

Debbie was born September 25, 1955 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Cranford and Vina Ortego. She was a caring and devoted wife and mother. Even after becoming a great grandmother, her desire to adventure life kept on. Her joy and laughter permeated those around her and always uplifted your spirit. The dedication she had to her church and God was limitless. The faith and love she shared with all will not be lost, but continue on in the memories and life experiences of those she touched.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Jesse Andrew Hampton and wife Alison of Moss Bluff, LA and Anthony Wade Hampton of Ragley, LA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Hampton, Jada Hampton, and Anthony Hampton, Jr.; great grandson, Luke Bridge; sister, Norma Grice of Groves, TX; brothers, Leo Hebert and wife Shirley of Ragley and Gregory Ortego of Moss Bluff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Hampton, Jr.; brothers, Don J. Ortego, and Harold Hebert; and her parents, Cranford and Vina Ortego.

Her funeral service will be held at Ragley First Pentecostal Church (746 First Pentecostal Church Rd. Longville, LA 70652) at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Rev. Sean Chisholm will officiate. Burial will take place at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley following the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the start of the service.
