Deborah Ann Demarest, 67, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Deborah was a 1974 graduate of LaGrange High School. She liked crocheting and playing bingo. Deborah had one of the greenest thumbs of anybody around, she could take what was thought to be a dead plant and make it grow through her care and knowledge. Deborah loved animals as well. She loved her family and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Deborah’s memory are her daughter, Becky Viator (Joey); grandchildren, Brennen Leger (Tiffanie), Wade Viator (Sarah), Hayleigh Viator, Landon Viator; great grandchildren, Brinley, Colt, and Riverlyn Leger; brothers, Joe Johnson and family, Pat Johnson and family; sister, Theresa Matt and family, her brother, Ray Johnson’s family, Chet, Eric, Ray Jr., and Jennifer. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Inas and Bernice Johnson; brothers, Terry Johnson, and Ray Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Deborah at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 1 PM, with burial to follow at Big Woods Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Friday starting at 10 AM until 12 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 12 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home prior to leaving for the church on Friday.
The family would like to thank Theresa McBride, Cindy LaComb, Dodie LeDoux, our daughter-in-law, Sarah Viator, and all of the nurses and doctors at West Calcasieu-Cameron Hospital that took care of Deborah and had so much compassion for the family through this time of difficulty.
